Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) also called red fir, Oregon pine and Douglas-spruce. Douglas fir is the most common evergreen tree in the Pacific Northwest is also the State tree of Oregon. Nearly half of all the Christmas Trees gown are Douglas Firs.
Douglas firs are lush, robust and gorgeous Christmas trees. Their popularity comes from its soft pyramidal shape. The needles are soft and radiate out from the branches in all directions, with a sweet holiday scent. The needles are plush to the touch. The Douglas fir tree is known for it’s needle retention.
